This semester I had the chance to take a Bridal class. I found a bride who was willing to take a chance on me and pay for the cost of the materials. It was a lot of work and I learned a TON not only constructing my dress, but also from watching the other students in the class create their dresses. Last weekend I was able to have my bride model the gown in a fashion show and advertise to hundreds of people. I am so thankful for the opportunity I have had to get a jump start on my business and I have seen many miracles and God's tender mercies through this whole process. Here is the dress! I can't wait to get pictures from her real wedding day on January 5th!

Here's the dress! The bodice is pleated with little lace motifs beaded with Chinese crystals and seed beads. The dress is bustled in this picture but it actually has a 4 ft. "princess" train with organza flounces. Not to bust my own bubble or anything... but it fits her like a glove.  And for a little side note,  I made and designed the dress that I am wearing as well. You can't see it in the picture but the waist band and the cuffs on the sleeves are pleated. What can I say? I love pleats.

This is my sewing/pattern making teacher, Jolene Smith, who doubles as my life coach most of the time. This woman has been an angel in my life and a huge reason I am pursuing sewing.

Here is a picture of us practicing her runway walk and maneuvering the train. We had to hire some cute flower girls to help her.

Side view. I really got a fantastic model.

More pictures (better pictures that weren't taken from my phone) coming soon...
